  8. Purpose:
  9.         AUDIT_PW was developed to tighten up network security on Novell
  10.         networks.  Many users use very easy to guess passwords.  AUDIT_PW uses
  11.         a file with common passwords to try on each user account.  All common
  12.         passwords are reported.

  15. Syntax:
  16.         AUDIT_PW [switches]
  17.  
  18.         /?       Help message.
  19.  
  20.         /B=xxx   Begin checking at user xxx.  If user xxx is not found, no
  21.                  processing is done other than creating the two support files.

  23.         /U       Process the bindery unsorted.

  26. Files:
  27.         AUDIT_PW.DAT    ASCII file with common passwords.  One password per
  28.                         line. Located in the same directory as AUDIT_PW.EXE.

  30.         $AUDIT.SF       Status file.  Contains hints about potential and real
  31.                         problems. Written in current directory.
  32.  
  33.         $AUDIT.UI       User Information file.  Written in current directory.
  34.

  38. Description:
  39.  
  40.         Using SYSCON (Supervisor Option) turn Intruder Detection/Lockout off
  41.         before starting the program.  Remember the settings so you can restore
  42.         them when your audit is done.
  43.  
  44.         Run CASTOFF to prevent messages from locking the process.
  45.  
  46.         You must have SUPERVISOR rights to run the program.
  47.  
  48.         During the audit, you may hit a key to bring up a menu.  This menu
  49.         allows you to either lock the keyboard, or abort the process.  Once
  50.         locked, you can only unlock (giving the proper password) the keyboard.
